As with any other act of worship, make the niyyah to perform Tawaf solely for Allah. You may also ask for acceptance and ease of your Tawaf. The following words may be said:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أُرِيْدُ طَوَافَ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ فَيَسِّرْهُ لِيْ وَتَقَبَّلْهُ مِنِّيْ
"O Allah, I intend to perform the Tawaf of Umrah of the Kaaba for your sake and your sake alone. Please accept it from me and make it easy for me."
Pilgrims don't need to recite the dua verbally.
Duas for each of the Seven Rounds
We have put together a list of suggested prayers for Tawaf. Remember, you are welcome to stop and use your own prayer whenever you want. Feel free to say any dua that is in your heart. You can ask for anything you want in your own language, but you can also memorise these short Duas to read during Tawaf to stay focused.
Tawaf Round One
In the first round pilgrim ask for guidance.

" Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Grant us mercy from You."
The best thing a believer could ask for is the "Hidayah." A pilgrim should keep his faith strong because he is asking the Almighty.
Pray to the Almighty for guidance in your umrah worship and life after umrah. When we ask Allah for His blessings, we should not forget to thank Him for all of His blessings before giving blessings.
Tawaf Round Two

"My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy."
During this round of Tawaf, engage yourself in duas, asking Allah for his forgiveness. They must see their shortcomings and ask Allah for His sympathetic pardon for every mistake and sin. Recite the duas that involve Allah, asking for countless blessings and forgiveness for His servants.
Allah always gives a chance to His sinner human to return to Him with a pure heart. It does not matter how many sins you've committed; he's merciful, and he always forgives his people.
Tawaf Round Three

"Our Lord, give us good in this world and in the Hereafter and protect us from the Fire."
This dua covers everything a person needs. You can make this round about asking for safety, good health, peace, and protection from any harm. You may also ask Allah to keep you safe in your faith, family, relationships, and future.
Tawaf Round Four

"My Lord, open my chest and make my task easy for me".
During this round of Tawaf, try to focus on seeking guidance and enlightenment from the Almighty. Tell Allah about your struggle, your hardships. If you are hurt, depressed, or stressed about something, share it with your creator, because He is All-Seeing and All-listening. When you share your burden with Him, he makes it easy for you. Allah is always near us, seeing and listening.
Tawaf Round Five

"My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small."
Take advantage of the moment and pray for your home team! Send your blessings to your family and best friends. Ask Allah to give them strong health, peace, and happiness.
Tell Allah you want Him to look after everyone who asked you to pray, too.
Tawaf Round Six

"My Lord, I need whatever good You send down to me."
Ask for a safe, steady income and success in whatever you are trying to achieve. Ask Him to make your time and efforts fruitful. Finally, ask Him to be your shield against evil and your guide toward all that is good in your life.
Tawaf Round Seven

"Our Lord, accept from us. You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."
In the seventh and final round, ask Allah to accept your Tawaf, your Umrah or Hajj, and all the prayers you made.
In this round, eliminate all worldly desires from your mind and surrender yourself in front of your creator. Just pray to the Almighty for everything and ask Him to accept your Tawaf and worship.
Dua after Completion of Tawaf
After the final round of Tawaf, pilgrims pray two rak'ah prayers at maqame ibrahim. Usually, Maqam e Ibrahim is full of prayers, so it is not easy to pray there. Pilgrims can offer these two prayers at any place in Masjid al Haram.
While moving to the place where you intend to perform the two rak’ahs, it is recommended to recite the following audibly:

وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى
"And take the Maqam Ibrahim as a place of salah."
Tips for Reciting Duas During Tawaf
There is no need to rush. A slow walk will help you focus and avoid accidents with others. Tawaf is worship, not a race.
- You will be able to switch dhikr, Quranic duas, and your own personal prayers. Some repeat the same dua on each round, while others alternate depending on how they feel at that moment.
- Don't get distracted by the phone while reciting long duas. Your duas are supposed to be simple to keep in touch with the moment.
- You can repeat shorter dhikr and Quranic duas to help you stay calm. This enables you to avoid being overwhelmed.
- Incidentally, respect other pilgrims' space. Do not push or come to a stop. The peaceful attitude enhances the spiritual atmosphere.
- Whenever you pass around the Kaaba, reflect on what you want to achieve, what you wish to stop, and what you wish Allah to assist you. Your duas are more critical with this reflection.
- Mobs tend to slow down the speed. This is to be treated as a part of the worship. Spend those minutes resuming the dhikr or quietly making dua during Tawaf.
The ability to do Tawaf is a blessing. Remembering this helps you maintain a humble and grateful attitude.
Some Umrah packages include a guide who assists pilgrims at each step of the journey. The guide helps ensure Tawaf, Sa’i, and other rituals are performed correctly, which is especially useful for first-time pilgrims.
Conclusion
After reading this guide, you are no longer confused, "What to read when doing tawaf?" Tawaf is more about sincerity than memorising long supplications.
Any dua made from the heart is accepted. Use these suggested duas if they help you stay mindful, but feel free to speak to Allah in your own words. The goal is connection, humility, and presence as you move around the Kaaba.
